Do I need a TIP Card before registering for class?
Yes, you must have this before you can register and have it on hand during the classroom and driving portion.
What happens if I miss a classroom date?
You will have to make that day up in the next class we have. You can't do the behind-the-wheel instruction until the classroom has been completed.
What happens after I complete the driver ed course?
You will receive a sealed envelope to take to the real DMV or the OMV Express. You will have to bring your original birth certificate, Social Security card, and proof of residency, for example, a water bill, an electric bill, or an insurance bill, to prove where you live.

What is your refund policy?
There will be no refunds once the services you registered for have begun. There is a non-refundable deposit.
How long does it take to complete driver's ed?
The completion date will depend on the age and the instructor's availability. Typically, each student is done within eight weeks. By the state law, we have 120 days to make sure the student has completed driver ed.
How old do I need to be to start driver's ed?
You must be at least 14 years and 9 months to take the classroom portion and 15 years to take the driving portion.
What if I forgot my username or password?
You can reset it on our website by clicking the "Forgot your Username or Password?" link on the login page.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. There is a 3% cash discount for all packages paid in cash or by check.
Payment in full is required before the behind-the-wheel training can start.
Do you offer payment plans?
Not really, but you can pay on the website in $150 increments until it is paid out.
Behind-the-Wheel
Do I need my own car for the behind the wheel instruction?
No, we provide the vehicle and are covered under our commercial insurance policy.
Do you charge a cancellation fee?
If you fail to show up for a driving lesson or do not cancel on our website at least 36 hours in advance, you will be charged a $30 late cancellation fee that must be paid before you can reschedule.
When can I start the behind the wheel instruction?
Our staff will call or text to set up our students for the behind-the-wheel sessions, according to age. Our older students will be driven first and proceed down the list to the youngest. You must be 15 to drive.
Do you offer home pick-up and drop off?
Our pick-up and drop-off map is on our home page. You must live within this area or select a location in this range. No services are offered from the classroom portion.
What can I expect to learn during my behind the wheel lessons?
You will be taught basic driving skills. For example, starting and stopping, lane changes, merging into traffic, keeping your car centered in the road, negotiating intersections, roundabouts, turning left and right, and learning to scan ahead.
Can I request a certain instructor for behind-the-wheel?
Yes, if you have a preference, please speak with Mrs. Denise.
Will I have the same instructor for every lesson?
We schedule the same instructor for all drives.
Will there be more than one student in the car with me?
All drives will be one-on-one with one student and one instructor in the vehicle.
How do I schedule my behind the wheel instruction?
Livington Driving Academy schedules all students for the driving portion. Please make sure the phone number we have for you is a working number. You will receive a text or phone call when your drive has been scheduled.
Do your cars have the current safety features?
Yes, our vehicles have safety features, with extra passenger brakes, mirrors, and caution signs.
